Unfortunately, bad things happen from time to time. These out of town owners called me in a panic when it was discovered by the unit below them that a simple $5 plastic toilet valve had cracked and water had been leaking for more than a week. The damage was extensive to both units. We immediately mobilized to get started with the remediation. A full demolition of the drywall, insulation, and flooring was started. A detailed cleaning and drying of the wood studs ensured no mold was created and therefore no long term health issues for the owners and their guests. We were able to save the cabinets, countertops and bathtubs but everything else was changed out. We turned this unfortunate incident into an amazing new updated space for this family.
